President Bola Tinubu has requested approval from the House of Representatives for an additional supplementary budget for the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA). The letter, read by Speaker Abbas Tajudeen during plenary, did not specify the budget amount.
This follows the approval of a previous N98.5 billion supplementary budget for the FCTA in June.
Tinubu’s letter explained that the new budget proposal aligns with the FCTA’s updated revenue and expenditure forecasts and supports the federal government’s fiscal and developmental policies under the ‘Renewed Hope Agenda.’ The president expressed confidence that the House will swiftly consider and approve the proposal.
