The House of Representatives has approved an additional N288 billion supplementary budget for the Federal Capital Territory (FCTA) for the 2024 financial year. The approval followed the adoption of the Committee on FCT’s report, which was presented by Hon. Aliyu Mukhtar Betara (APC, Borno) during a plenary session.
The bill was read for the third time after the House suspended its relevant rules, paving the way for harmonization with the Senate and final transmission to the president for assent.
The supplementary budget allocates N31.1 billion for overhead costs and N256.9 billion for capital projects to support the service of the FCTA through December 2024.
