VeryDarkMan to Appear Before Reps Panel Over Bobrisky Bribery Allegations

Social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), is set to appear before a House of Representatives Committee on Monday, September 30, 2024. The committee is investigating corruption allegations involving officials from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS) in connection with crossdresser Bobrisky (Idris Okuneye).

VeryDarkMan recently released an audio recording on Instagram, claiming it revealed Bobrisky discussing bribes paid to EFCC officials to drop money laundering charges and to NCoS officials to secure a private apartment during his six-month prison sentence. Bobrisky has dismissed the recording as fake, calling it the work of his “haters.”

In response, VeryDarkMan’s lawyer, Barr. Deji Adeyanju, confirmed that his client will attend the National Assembly’s investigative panel to aid in the inquiry. The panel’s investigation is also part of the federal government’s broader probe into allegations against prison officials at the Kirikiri Custodial Centre. VeryDarkMan is expected to appear by 2 p.m. unless there are any changes.
