The chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on National Security, Hon. Ahmed Satomi, has cleared up confusion about reports stating that the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, and the DSS Director General, Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi, were summoned over crime in Abuja. Satomi explained that no such summons had been issued.
The confusion arose after a motion by Hon. Dabo Haruna about the rising crime, especially the ‘One Chance’ criminals, in the FCT.
Haruna’s legislative aide was recently killed by these criminals. Satomi said the House only asked relevant committees to investigate the issue and work with the necessary officials to ensure justice. He assured Nigerians that the committees would look into the matter and ensure the criminals are caught.
