Reps Committee Chairman Commends Appointment of Adedapo Segun as NNPCL CFO

The chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Petroleum Resources (Downstream), Hon. Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere, has welcomed the appointment of Adedapo Segun as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL).

NNPCL recently announced a leadership shake-up, with Segun, formerly the Executive Vice President (Downstream), replacing Umar Ajiya as CFO. The company stated that the leadership changes are part of its efforts to improve governance and ensure long-term success in Nigeria’s energy sector.

Ugochinyere, who represents the Ideato North/South federal constituency in Imo State, praised Segun’s experience and professionalism. He expressed confidence that Segun would help boost NNPCL’s revenue and contribute to the country’s economic growth. Ugochinyere highlighted Segun’s work in raising billions of dollars in financing and his role in NNPCL’s transformation into a Public Limited Liability Company.

The committee chairman assured Segun of the committee’s full support and urged him to continue working towards making NNPCL more profitable and effective.
