Hon. Solomon Bob, a lawmaker from Rivers State, has accused Hon. Ikenga Ugochinyere, an Imo State representative and spokesperson for opposition lawmakers, of interfering in Rivers State matters while neglecting issues in his own constituency.
Hon. Bob alleged that Hon. Ugochinyere’s actions are causing unnecessary tension and claimed he is being influenced by a Rivers indigene to push hidden agendas. He urged Hon. Ugochinyere to focus on addressing pressing challenges in Imo, such as insecurity.
The Rivers lawmaker also questioned Hon.Ugochinyere’s legislative contributions and called on the House leadership to remove him as chairman of a standing committee, citing constitutional provisions that restrict lawmakers to representing their constituencies.
Hon. Bob emphasized the need for lawmakers to respect boundaries and prioritize their responsibilities to their constituents.
