Traditional rulers from Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, and Ejigbo local governments in Osun State has endorsed Governor Ademola Adeleke for a second term in office.
The royal fathers, speaking at an end-of-year summit convened by Rep. Bamidele Salam, emphasized that Governor Adeleke’s leadership has brought much-needed development to the region. From improved roads to better schools and healthcare facilities, they acknowledged the Governor’s impact on the lives of their communities.
Rep. Salam, addressing the gathering, detailed key achievements of the Adeleke administration, noting significant investments in infrastructure, education, and human development. He assured the audience that the Governor plans to launch even more impactful projects in 2025, including rural electrification, school construction, and road rehabilitation.
The Alawo of Awo, Oba Abdulrasak Taiwo Adegboye, praised Governor Adeleke for fostering an inclusive style of governance that respects traditional institutions. He said, “Governor Adeleke has shown genuine commitment to our people by involving traditional rulers in decision-making and prioritizing projects that directly benefit our communities.”
The summit also recognized Rep. Salam’s leadership, with the monarchs describing him as a dependable and accessible representative. They lauded his efforts in facilitating development projects and referred to him as the best representative the constituency has seen since 1999.
However, endorsement by the traditional rulers is not just a show of political support but a statement of the public’s trust in leadership that delivers. As 2025 approaches, the collective optimism expressed at the summit highlights the expectation of sustained progress in Osun State.
