The ruling party APC has reiterated its stance to the right to free speech as backed by the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria which applies equally to all Nigerians, including members of the ruling party, while decrying falsehood which undermines public trust.
In a statement signed by the APC National chairman- Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, said that the party stands by the position of the National Publicity Secretary Mr Felix Morka in his effort to defend the federal government and set the records straight against disinformation by desperate politicians.

He stressed that claims and accusations attributed to Mr. Peter Obi, former governor of Anambra State and presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 general elections, was mischievous and baseless aimed at seeking attention and playing the victim for emotional blackmail.
