Thirty four terrorists have been killed by the men of the Nigeria military on the fourth of January 2025 at Sabongari in Damboa LGA of Borno State.
In a statement signed by the Director Defence Media Operations, Major General Edward Buba said a large number of terrorists came on motorcycles and Gun trucks to retaliate the recent killing of their commander and combatants by the troops of Operation Hadin Kai. Gen Buba stated that the attack though foiled by troops fighting patrol returning to base, a reinforcement team comprising military, civilian JTF, vigilante as well as hybrid forces arrived at the scene to over power the terrorists.
He said the reinforcement team of Operation Hadin Kai encountered an IED in which six soldiers and the civilian JTF commander lost their lives. The Air Force team of Operation Hadin Kai killed several fleeing terrorists while troops recovered 23 AK 47 rifles and over 200 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunitions.
