The House of Representatives has announced the death of Hon. Adewunmi Oriyomi Onanuga, the Deputy Chief Whip and representative of Ikenne, Sagamu, and Remo North Federal Constituency in Ogun State.
According to a statement by the House Spokesperson, Mr. Akin Rotimi, Hon. Onanuga passed away on January 15, 2025, after a brief illness.
Hon. Onanuga, who was serving her second term, was known for her dedication to public service, her strong leadership, and her deep commitment to the welfare of her constituents. She played a key role in maintaining order and discipline during House sessions and was admired for her passion for building a better Nigeria.
