NNPCL Remits N10 Trillion, Seeks Fuel Spending Audit

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has contributed N10 trillion to the federation account, making it Nigeria’s highest taxpayer and the only company to fully publish its annual account statements.

Group CEO Mele Kyari, during a presentation to the National Assembly, called for a forensic audit of funds spent on fuel price stabilization and petrol supply between January and September 2024.

He assured lawmakers that NNPCL’s 2025 budget projections are realistic, with final figures to be released after a board meeting in two weeks.

Meanwhile, the National Assembly raised the Nigerian Ports Authority’s 2025 revenue target to N1.75 trillion, urging increased revenue generation by government agencies.
