Reps Summon Customs Boss, Threaten Arrest for NIMC DG

The House of Representatives Public Petitions Committee has summoned Nigerian Customs Service head Adewale Adeniyi to address allegations that several senior officials have refused to retire after reaching their due dates.

The petition, submitted by the Obasi-Pherson Help Foundation, specifically names three Assistant Comptrollers and three Comptrollers.

Additionally, the committee has warned that the Director General of the Nigerian Identity Management Commission may be arrested if she fails to appear at an upcoming hearing over disputes related to a software project and a breach of a revenue-sharing agreement with Truid Limited.
