Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, has assured that the ongoing 1999 Constitution review will reflect the aspirations of Nigerians. Speaking at the closing of a two-day retreat in Akwa Ibom State, he praised committee members for their dedication and urged them to remain committed.
Kalu emphasized teamwork in achieving a constitution that truly represents the people’s will, acknowledging challenges but encouraging perseverance. House spokesperson, Hon. Akin Rotimi Jnr, also reaffirmed the committee’s commitment to an inclusive, transparent process, ensuring that the reforms will strengthen democracy and national development.
