The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced that it would adopt the indirect primaries in the forthcoming Anambra election.
The National Secretary- Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru announced this at a press briefing on Thursday. He saidthe NWC had resolved to adopt this decision after extensive consultations within the party’s leadership to ensure all stakeholders are carried along.
The APC has released the list of gubernatorial candidates for the Anambra election.
Meanwhile a revised schedule and timetable have also been released by the APC.
The APC has planned a stakeholders’ meeting for 1 PM next week Tuesday at the party’s national headquarters. This session will include members of the Anambra State Working Committee, the State caucus, and all candidates seeking the party’s nomination.The gathering will allow the NWC to inform stakeholders about the decision and address any questions prior to the primary election. The National Secretary-Bashiru also indicated that the party would duly inform the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in accordance with electoral regulation.
